his owner was working long hours every day and so he was constantly cooped up in his crate. eventually surrendered to the langley animal protection society, copper, the 1 year old beagle has been waiting for his right match since december 21st, 2013.
copper is extremely physical + extremely intelligent. he needs exercise (physically + mentally) 7 days a week. copper is looking for a high energy, active human that can keep him busy with adventures + challenges.
as soon as we met copper, it was nose to the ground and he was off! copper is driven + *ahem* stubborn. his tracking instinct is incredibly strong and because of this, he will likely need to always be on leash + have a very secure contained yard. copper is confident + independent but as soon as you show him you have something entertaining for him (helllooooo scent work!), his heart is all yours!
although still a puppy at just 1 year old, copper is crate trained, house trained and travels well in a vehicle. he loves to fetch and have fun. he is very dog social and will fit right in with a fun group of doggy friends. in fact, this would be a great way for copper to get his beans out.
if this cute little ball of energy sparks your interest, please call LAPS at: 604-857-5055 to speak to copper’s ridiculously awesome trainer, gwen.
