Lisa + Roxy

Tangible artwork is so valuable.  Physical photographs have an undeniable energy about them non-comparable to that of digital.  Albums are my (Ash) favourite way of harnessing that energy.  I absolutely LOVE an album’s ability to tell a story, one that can be held in your hands and proudly displayed in the heart of your home, not just filed away on your computer.

We recently created an album for Lisa and her sweet, fur child, Roxy.  Roxy is a 9 year old, gentle soul that brings so much love and laughter into her mama’s life.  Sadly, Roxy has been diagnosed with a degenerative bone condition and their remaining time together is limited.  It was so beautiful to document some of Roxy’s story – playing in one of her favourite spots with some of her best dog buddies and her mama.  Thank you Lisa for entrusting us with documenting this treasured part of your lives.

Below are some of my favourite photographs of our time together.  Check here to see the slideshow of Lisa’s album pages.

Patrick [Adopt a Lovey Wednesday] adopt patrick from LAPS

He arrived at LAPS in atrocious condition – very underweight, completely matted, urine and feces all over him.  Despite the clear neglect and sadness Patrick has endured, his soul remains soft and gentle. adopt patrick from LAPS

Patrick is a male, approx. 5 year old, German Shepherd.  He’s been at the Langley Animal Protection Society for about a month now. adopt patrick from LAPS

Living indoors will be new to Patrick so he is looking for a quiet household.  He could possibly live with another dog, preferably a female and of a large size.  He is not suited for a home with cats or small children.  Patrick will need a patient, loving owner, one that will spend the necessary time to help him come out of his shell. adopt patrick from LAPS

Patrick has a lot of love to give.  If you are considering open your heart and home to this sweet boy, please call LAPS at: 604-857-5055 to speak to his awesome trainer, Kayla.  If adopting Patrick is something you are just unable to do but you would love to help this darling, please go on and share this blog post with your friends and family. :)

admin - Hi Mark,

I believe Patrick is still available. He is in Langley, BC at the Langley Animal Protection Society (LAPS). You can call them with any questions you may have at: 604-857-5055. :)

Mark Moore - Is this dog still available? Where is the location?

Binky II [Adopt a Lovey Wednesday] adopt binkyY’know that that guy you’ve been waiting for?  The one that just wants to spend time with you and make you smile?  The woodsy, swimming and hiking companion you’ve been looking for? adopt binkyMeet Binky.  He is a 1.5 year old, male  Rhodegian Ridgeback mix.  Binky has been at the shelter for 5 months now and overlooked time and time again.  In fact this isn’t his first blog post.  To see Binky all daper, check out his first glamour shoot here. adopt binkyBinky is house trained, crate trained, great in the car and easy to walk on a leash.  He is affectionate and has a ton of personality.  He’s great around kids but does tend to guard his toys so he is looking for a home without children.  But he could live with the right dog.

If you are interested in giving Binky the loving home he so truly deserves, please call LAPS at: 604-857-5055 for more information.  Oh, and we’d love you for spreading the word and sharing this blog post with your friends + family. :)

Ernie II [Adopt a Lovey Wednesday] adopt ernie

Lil Ernie.  Le sigh.  He has been at the Langley Animal Protection Society for 201 days!  IT MAKES NO SENSE! adopt ernie

In fact, this is the second photo session we’ve done for Ernie.  You can check out his first blog post, from December, here.  This sweet, quirky, little darling needs your help getting his adorable self out there, guys. adopt ernie

Oh ya, did I mention he’s cute as heck! adopt ernie

Ernie is a 2 year old, male, Chihuahua X Boston Terrier.  He was sadly abandoned and is so ready to finally go home to his forever family. adopt ernie

And this would be Ernie cuddling awesome LAPS staffer, Spencer as we hid under cover from the torrential down pours.   RAH!  So cute.  If you or anyone you know is interested in this lovey, please call LAPS for more information at: 604-857-5055.  If you can’t adopt Ernie yourself, we would LOVE you for helping him by just simply sharing this blog post with your family and friends.  Let’s get this pup a home, guys!  :)

admin - Hi Locke!

Because of Ernie’s energy and his tendency to be a little mouthy, he is looking for an adult only or older kid home. :)

Locke - Is Ernie friendly with kids?

josh [adopt a lovey wednesday] josh

He was found as a stray alongside another German Shepherd.  Turns out their owner passed away last year, while their current guardian chose not to retrieve them. josh

Alas, Josh is vacationing at the Langley Animal Protection Society for now.  That is, until you fall in love and adopt him. ;) josh

Josh is ridiculously sweet.  He loves people and is very affectionate.  He is super goofy and is just learning to play with toys.  Josh also has a few dog buddies and would pair up best with a confident female. josh

Josh is a 2 year old, male, German Shepherd.  If you are taken by this cute boy, please go on and call LAPS at: 604-857-5055 for more information.
